Football: A massive well done to the Preston Primary School Year 5/6 football team. Competing against our cluster schools in the area, we played extremely well. Despite not winning and progressing to the final, we played fantastically and didn't lose a match- drawing most of them. Well done to all of the team, I'm sure you'll be in action representing our school again in the coming months.

Cross Country: On Tuesday, (3rd Oct) we attended our cluster cross country event at Holderness Academy. Taking a massive 36 children from our Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 classes. In windy, blustery conditions our children did remarkably well- perhaps our daily mile time in an afternoon is coming in use! Well done to all of our children that took part, you represented our school brilliantly and showed perseverance and resilience when the going got tough. A special mention to those children that received a letter to progress to the regional finals at Cottingham High in a few weeks time - well done and good luck!

Wow, what a week it has been! Our children have represented our school in four different sports this week from football, athletics, netball to cricket. It has been amazing to see the happy, smiley faces as they’ve tried their best, persevered and given 100% to compete. We had our winning female footballers, our amazing athletic teams, our winning netballers and our second placed cricketers. Well done to all the children involved and thank you to all the parents for supporting their children at these events. Your children should be very proud of themselves.

27th September 2022

Year 5 and 6 football comp at Holderness Academy was a resounding success. Despite coming second to a very good Thorngumbald team we still progress onto the next round in a few weeks time. Well done to all the children who played, they did extremely well and represented our school amazingly.

Today was also the launch of our new football kit. Our new football kit was kindly donated for us by Buntra Holland, which is a company owned by one of our very generous parents. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Allinson for their kind donation- it’ll keep Preston children looking smart at sporting events for a long time to come.

 Thank you again.
